Inspiring the young in our community is a joy, the mix of projects means we can guide and advise children on things like their homework right up to their careers prospects.

We’ve been lucky enough to have the independent charity Inspire! help us create ties with local schools and charities for this work. Staff regularly attend careers carousels to talk to students about their employment history and give worldly advice on how to break into industries.

On Mondays staff team up with Caris Families Camden to help out at the homework club in a local hostel for homeless families. The children and parents are grateful for the extra quiet time to learn and often practise their second language, English. We also have lots of fun relearning our fractions!

For 2 years in a row we have invited classes of year 4 students from local schools to Clearcast as apart of their ‘work week’ programme. They get the chance to feel out the work environment and what we do here at Clearcast. Read our 2017 Autumn newsletter for more on 2017’s visit, pg 42.

Our Training Programme Manager Michael is also inspiring young minds through his interactive sessions at local schools such as Haverstock and Stormont House. Our well- known training session format is adapted according to age and learning ability and of course, kept fun!
