Clearcast is 10!

In January 2008 Clearcast was born. Some of you will remember when we were still The Broadcast Advertising Clearance Centre (or “The BACC” as we were known) and hopefully agree we’ve come a long way since then. We’re proud to have significantly improved turnaround times, seen a huge rise in agency satisfaction and launched a number of new services. This reflects our ongoing mission to make it easier to get ads to air and keep them there.

 

We will be recognising many of Clearcast’s achievements in the coming months, but just to give you a taster, how about this…? We’ve read more than a quarter of a million of your scripts and considered more than half a million of your filmed ads in the last 10 years!

Clearcast rated “outstanding” by Best Companies

18th January 2018

We’re delighted to announce we have been awarded the two star “Outstanding” accreditation in the “Best Companies to Work For” initiative.

 

The award is based on our highest employee engagement score since first participating in the survey in 2014.

 

Best Companies have been committed to helping organisations listen to their employee’s opinions so they can improve employee engagement since 2001. Each year Best Companies survey hundreds of thousands of employees from around the world to help organisations identify the areas where they can improve.

 

Confidential surveys of employees on eight key areas are carried out:  leadership; managers; personal growth; wellbeing; working in teams; giving something back to society; engagement with their job and organisation and how satisfied the employees are with their pay and benefits.

We’re reducing our turnaround times

16th January 2018

Since we reviewed our processes in 2016, we’ve beaten our targets for feeding back to you on ad scripts and videos. For some time, our turnaround time KPI (measured quarterly) has been to provide a response on 85% of scripts within 4 working days and on 95% of videos within 2 working days and we now exceed that. We were delighted to see that agencies recognised the improvement in our 2017 agency survey.

 

As we’ve been exceeding our turnaround time KPI and carried out reassuring analysis that shows we’re capable of achieving more this year, we’ve decided to reduce our script turnaround KPI to 85% of scripts receiving a response within 3 days.

 

There will be some submissions that may take longer than 3 days for us to feedback on because we’re experiencing a particularly high volume of work or the submission contains a complex claim for example, which may require consultant feedback or more detailed considerations and discussion.

 

We’re looking forward to taking on this new target and providing you with even faster script feedback in 2018.

Clearcast launches 2018 training programme

Happy New Year! We’re thrilled to be launching our 2018 Training programme today which is, as always, bursting with sessions that strive to help agencies, advertisers, broadcasters and all in between with their copy clearance quibbles.

 

Our CPD accredited courses allow you to get to grips with TV broadcast advertising rules in an accessible, interactive and dare we say it…fun way. Whether you want to know more about the clearance process, claims & support, CopyCentral or you’re having nightmares about legal supers, we’ve got you.

 

As well as our London courses, we will be taking our Agency training ‘on the road’ to the great city of Manchester in February, so if you’re based up north then come along and save on that pricey train fare!
