Mr. Capron-Tee is a retired chartered engineer who has worked in the vacuum cleaner industry for more than 40 years. He has worked for companies like Hoover, Shop Vac, Goblin and Vax.

He is currently working as a consultant to a wide range of vacuum cleaner companies around the world. 

Mr. Capron-Tee is a former chairman of the BSI sub-committee (CPL/56/6) and current chairman of the BSI Domestic Appliance performance committee (CPL 59) and the IEC committee dealing with vacuum cleaner performance measurement (SC59F). He is also chairman of the US ASTM F11.96 international sub-committee working with vacuum cleaner performance.
