European Copy Advice extended to Romania and Turkey
18/01/2010
Turkey and Romania has today, 18th January 2010, joined the European Copy Advice and pre-Clearance facility launched by Clearcast and the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) in November last year. The facility helps advertisers, agencies and media owners to get either European pre-clearance or copy advice.
The on-line service already included Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and the United Kingdom and was today extended to include Romania and Turkey.
The website allows users to easily request copy advice regarding advertising content from self-regulatory organisations; this can now be obtained from 17 European markets in one click.
Just like the other 15 affiliated advertising self-regulatory organisations, the Romanian Consiliul Roman pentru Publicitate (RAC) as well as the Turkish Reklam Özdenetim Kurulu (RÖK) will provide non-binding copy advice in complete confidentiality to registered users.
“We are thrilled that both the Romanian and Turkish advertising watchdogs have agreed to also become part of this facility providing users with an even greater geographical coverage”, emphasized Oliver Gray, Director-General of the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA).
