Dr Peter Emerson

After qualifying as a doctor at Cambridge University and St Georges Medical School, service in the RAF and various training posts in London and the USA, Dr Emerson was appointed Consultant Physician at Westminster Hospital.

There Peter latterly became the last Dean of the Westminster Medical School. Other appointments have included Consultant Physician to the Royal Navy and Vice President and Senior Examiner at the Royal College of Physicians.

Special interests have been in thoracic medicine and the application of mathematics and information technology to the making of logical clinical decisions. Relaxation has included ballooning, scuba diving, playing good tennis and detesting opera.

Dr Emerson is the longest serving member of the Medical Advisory Committee.

 

Dr Richard Morgan

Richard Morgan has been a Consultant Physician at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital since 1988. He is a General Physician, Clinical Pharmacologist, and Senior Lecturer in Medicine at Imperial College Faculty of Medicine. He has a particular interest in Medical Education, and was Chairman of the Final Year Qualifying MB BS Examination Board for Imperial College 2002-2008.

Richard is a full time Acute Physician, managing emergency admission and is one of the Stroke Team, providing immediate thrombolysis for early stroke patients. He has special interest in Hypertension (High Blood pressure) and Dementia, running specialist clinics in these fields. Research interests include hypertension, cognitive evaluation in hydrocephalus, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

Since 2002 he has been the Clinical Director for the Medicine and A&E Directorate and is part of the Trust Executive for Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.He joined the Clearcast team of consultants in 2009.
